The Gable House
This was the very first project we did during the second year of the architecture program in UIUC. The plan was to visit the site and observe and measure the full house. After measuring and observing, we had to replicate the whole building through plans (including site-plan), elevations and sections.
First, we visited the site and draw a quick sketch of what we observed while taking a tour around the site. Then we had to create the site plan using CAD.
Here, the detailed observation was a key to this part of the project, since we could only visit once during the class. In order to make everything detailed, the cameras were used very efficiently. Through the pictures, it was possible to make corrections. Sun paths of the site were added too.

The second part of the project was to create an elevation of two sides of the structure. The East and North elevation was created here. Just like the site-plan, "picture-observe-sketch-replicate" method was used. One thing that was different from the site, it had to be more detailed with the structure's system.
Next, the third part of the project, we were able to take a tour inside the house. As we take a look around the house, just like the other phases, pictures and sketches were taken, and used it as a model for the actual plan that were created by the AutoCAD.
